Roles That Were Just Made For Them
There are so many roles and characters in the world of Hollywood movies which are just our favourite and rooted in our minds. We cannot imagine any other actor replacing them and playing that role. But do you know, some of the most loved characters were once not made for the actors that made them famous. Let us check out such roles.
John McClane (Die Hard)
Bruce Willis did an amazing work playing the character of John McClane and I feel no one could have played it better than him. But FYI, the role was known to be first played by Arnold Schwarzenegger. But then, we have the best one!
Tony Stark (Iron Man)
Iron man being played by Tom Cruise or any other actor seems to be a good great nightmare. Well! Tom Cruise actually had wanted to play the role of Iron Man but eventually lost interest. This character then ended up being played by Robert Downey.
Neo (The Matrix)
The very loved character of the Matrix Trilogy. Did you know that the makers of the movie wanted Will Smith to take up the role. However, because of time issues, Will could not make it and Keanu Reeves became the star.
Batman (Batman, 1989)
The 1989 Batman movie was a wondrous work and it was all because of Michael Keaton that the character of Batman came to life. But it is known that Mel Gibson was the maker's first choice. Mel however refused and Micheal got the chance of starring in $400 million movie.
Jack Dawson (Titanic)
Can you just even imagine "The Titanic" without Leonardo DiCaprio? Well! You had to imagine if Matthew McConaughey would have accepted the offer for the role of Jack. Phew! Thanks to the stars that the actor refused and Leo made his way in.
Django (Django Unchained)
Django being played by someone else is a bad idea. I mean I cannot imagine anyone else except Jamie Fox to play Django. Well! It was Will Smith who was first offered to play the role.
Jack Sparrow (Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl)
Captain Jack Sparrow is the only way I love addressing Johnny Depp. Do you think anyone else except him would have bought light and laughter to the role. Oh my! My heart sinks at the very thought of Johnny Depp being replaced. But did you know that Jack Sparrow’s role was written for Hugh Jackman? The directors withdrew him simply because he wasn’t famous enough outside of Australia.
Christian Grey (Fifty Shades of Grey)
You wouldn't have known the so manly side of Jamie Dornan in " Fifty Shades Of Grey" if the director would have said yes to Robert Pattinson or Ryan Gosling.
Edward Lewis (Pretty Woman)
Can you imagine anyone else playing Edward in Pretty Woman. Well! It would have been Al Pacino but thankfully he didn't work out so Richard got this role!
