They have become smarter, and their food has become tastier. Prepare your taste buds for one such dish that has been perfected over the course of time. A dish that will definitely blow your mind, or at least give your taste buds the ride of their life.
What is this mysterious dish? And did I mention that you can make this dish at home? Yes, this dish can be made at home! Now you don't have to spend an extravagant amount of money to get a taste of heaven! What are we making then? We are making a red velvet cake Filled with whipped cream and crushed Oreo. I can't wait to go the next page and find out all about the recipe. I'm drooling already!
Here is what you are going to need for this mouth watering recipe.
1 box red velvet cake mix
Ingredients needed to make cake (Eggs, Oil & Water)
2 boxes instant cheesecake flavoured pudding
4 cups milk
1 tub frozen whipped topping, thawed
10 Oreo Cookies Crushed optional
Follow the instructions on the back of the cake mix and bake the red velvet cake. The real magic begins once the cake has been made. Once the cake has been brought out of the oven allow it to cool for a few minutes. Once it has cooled down begin making holes in the mixture. You can use a straw or a spoon, make sure to reach all the way down as you want the pudding to reach all the way through.
#3 Mix It Well
Mix dry pudding mix with 4 cups of milk in a different bowl. Mix it well till all the little lumps are gone. Pour this mixture over the cake try to get in through each and every hole and let it seep through to the bottom. Spread out the pudding over the entire cake with the help of a spoon. Be sure to get all the holes you missed the first time round. The better the pudding is mixed the better it tastes.
But wait, we haven't even added the oreos yet. Yes, that's the step on the next page right after this.
#2 Let It Cool
Put the cake in the fridge and let it set for approximately 2 hours. If you have anything in your fridge that has a strong smell make sure to cover your cake. We don't want another smell or ruining the experience for us now do we?
Once your cake has completely cooled take it out of the fridge and spread on the whipped topping. Spread it out evenly over the pudding layer. Use the back of a spoon again if you need to. And then for the moment we have all been waiting for. The grand finale on the next page! Oreo toppings to give it that special crunch.
#1 The Grand Oreo Finale!
To add the Oreos it is important to crush them nicely. Place them in a Ziploc pouch And crush them with a rolling pin. Be sure to leave a few pieces big for that extra crunch. Spread the crushed Oreos over the cake and you're done. Enjoy the savoury goodness of red velvet with the consistency of pudding and the crunch of Oreo.
You can also add the Oreo just before serving to ensure that the Oreo doesn't get soggy due to storage. Leave us comments and tell us what you thought of this brilliant recipe.
